We stayed in 2 different hotels, that's what LG always like to do. Dorsett at mongkok for the first 4 nights and Butterfly Morrison at causeway bay for the next 3 nights. We chose Butterfly as LG has friend working there.
Dorsett is awesome! Even though the room is damn small, their service totally compensates their small rooms. All of them are super friendly and helpful. Thumbs up!
Day 1: Check in to Dorsett & Shopping
We reached HK in the morning and the weather is so good. I was expecting colder but it was good enough. Went Tim Ho Wan after leaving our luggages in the hotel. Some food is better in SG, but most of them tastes better in HK. We were lucky that we don't have to queue as when we eat finish, there was a long queue outside. Heng ah, we went in immediately after we reached. Headed to Lai Chi Kok for their wholesale shopping but we were disappointed. We didn't expect the price to be so steep, 50plus for a dress? Their quality is good but with this price we can get better one here. So, we didn't get anything.
Went Mido Cafe but is another disappointment. Not very nice and overrated.
Went Central for dinner after going back to hotel to rest for awhile as we didn't get any sleep the night before. We had Mak's noodle and tabao Yung Kee roasted meat for supper. Head down to Island Beverly as it is supposedly to be their cheaper Korean fashion but their prices are steeper than Lai Chi Kok. Shopped around Causeway Bay Area. Yung Kee roasted pork skin is damn good!
Initially we thought that we got tok for the clothes cus we are foreigners but after asking the locals, all of them say that the price is cheap -.-
Day 2: Shopping at Mongkok & Symphony of Lights
Kam Wah Cafe for breakfast. Their bolou Bao is damn good! We went back a few days later for high tea but doesn't tastes as good so I recommend to go in the morning. Haha. Beside kam wah cafe is Fa Yuen Street and surprising the clothes there are cheap and nice! So we spent a few hours there. Hehe, wa dao bao.
Dimdimsum dim sum for lunch and it's not bad. There is an outlet in marina square and it's quite comparable. Baboon and me went to shop at New Town Mall while LG and ah teng went back hotel to put down the big bags of stuff we bought. New Town Mall is quite nice to shop but why must their dresses be so short?!? I can't wear to office lah! And due to the season, they are all selling long sleeves :(
Went symphony of lights and avenue of star at night. I was wearing so little as the weather is becoming warmer but when I reached there, regret. The wind is so strong and it's so cold till my hands are numb. But quite shiok lah. Haha! Symphony of lights is not a grand as what I have expected. Walked around grandville road and randomly we went Fullhouse cafe and Charlie Brown Cafe.
Then the day ended with supper at some roadside stall near our hotel. It's recommended by the taxi uncle. Not bad, eating at the roadside with super cooling weather. Good experience :)
Day 3: Lantau Island, Citygate Outlet and Peak
Lantau Island! Tried their vegetarian food and the Buddha is really so pretty!
City gate after coming down. Everything is so expensive or rather, same as price as sg. How is that outlet -.- LG got a good deal for Tommy's polo. It's like half price? Yay.
Went wax museum and peak. Besides the part of squeezing with people to take the tram, these are super worth. We bought our second couple watch there. I wanted Marc Jacobs watches but we chose Michael Kors as it suits LG better. I think it's quite cheap compare to outside? Love the colour of the watches! :D
Late dinner at Tsui Wah. It was recommended by friends and yes, it is super nice! All their food tastes so good, especially their chilli. Shiok to the max!
