Seoul is the best part of the trip. We spent 6 days there but it seems not enough as it was rather rush.
We stayed at in a guesthouse, I can't remember the name, at Nansam Hill. The room is rather rundown and the wifi sucks. It is ok at the lower level but it sucks at level 4. The location is good but since it's up at the hill, the number of stairs we walked is crazy. We tried climbing back once but after that we took cab whenever we going back to the guesthouse. The distance is so near till the meter didnt jump but the stairs are simply too tiring especially after a long of walking.
First & Second Day: We reached Seoul around evening time and we just find 1 random restaurant to have dinner and rest early. We changed our itinerary slightly as it was raining the next day. We went shopping instead, at Myeongdong and Lotte Mart.
Third day: We were so lucky, it stop raining! yay! went Tosokchon Ginseng Chicken for lunch and it was good! Then we head down to Gyeongbokgung. We managed to catch the guard changing session when we reached there. lucky or what. But it was quite boring and everywhere looks the same. Reminds me of China. So we stopped halfway and went Ewha Woman's University for shopping! I bought so much even though is not very cheap -.- I think I tio tok lah cus baboon managed to get cheap stuff. Ended the day with Nanta show. It's good and funny! Worth the price :)
Forth day: N Seoul Tower; We didnt pay to go up as there is nothing to see in the day also. Just keep spamming photos! We took a cab down to Bukchon Hanok Village as N Seoul Tower is simply just too ulu. I saw a show introducing Bukchon and it is really so pretty! They have photo spot to show you the best spot to take pretty pictures, so cute! After that we took a long train ride to Jaksal Chicken @ Ilsan. Fyi, it's a restaurant owned by Kim Hyun Joong and of course, I've requested to go there. It's damn far please and quite hard to find. The restaurant is not as grand as what I have expected, like dont have a lot of pictures of him. haha! The chicken is damn good I swear! not that I am bias but it's really so so so damn good! and his mom is so friendly. hehehe. Chiong down to Dongdaemun as we dont have time the next few days. Reached there around 11pm and the night market is just setting up their stores. Sad to say, the shopping centres have nicer clothing but all were closed :(
Fifth day: It's Ting Tong's Birthday! We went Everland~ Super far, almost 2 hours of travelling, changing trains and trains. Everland is so huge! It's so much cheaper than USS but so much more fun and bigger! It has zoo and rides. I am still so amazed by how closed we were with the animals! So freaking cool! The wooden roller coasters is so fun, 1 of the best I have taken! Of course we didnt manage to cover the whole theme park but at least we tried all the thrilling rides and visited all the zoo.
Sixth day: It's a relaxing day and we went cafe hopping! I can't remember the cafes name but all their cafes are so well decorated and relaxing. At least it is not so over crowding like in Singapore and their coffee is so much nicer. Went Hongdae for the Hello Kitty Cafe but it was a total disaapointment. Food and coffee and atmosphere is a no no, dont waste time. Walked around Hongdae and went back Lotte Mart for last minute shopping. We went clubbing at night at Hongdae. the whole place is so happening. We chose NB2 as we could not find the club we initially wanted to go. Never regret going even though we were so tired. The drinks are cheap, music is good and people is nice. They actually apologised when they knocked onto us or rejected them. So polite! We are like some crazy women as the ladies there are so demure. haha!
Last day: It's the last day in Korea :( Last minute shopping and went to have our favourite meal. Happy to leave the lousy guesthouse but sad to leave the country :( The uncle actually got a shock by the amount of stuff we brought back. 3 fulled luggages, 2 boxes and 1 hand carry. haha!
